Templates

Dealer Admin enables you to program panels with templates and automatically push programming to a panel. In this section, you’ll learn how to add, edit, and delete templates. You’ll also learn how to configure Virtual Keypad templates and program a system with a template.

Create a Template

Note: XR Series panels using EASYconnect with firmware Version 191 and lower must have an App Key programmed before using templates.

To create a template, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to Dealer Admin (dealer.securecomwireless.com).

  2. In the left menu, go to Tools > Templates.

  3. Select the Add icon.png (Add) icon.

  4. Enter a Template Name and choose a System Type.

  5. To only apply the template to a specific customer’s systems, select a Customer.

  6. Add all programming options according to your customer’s needs. For more information about programming, refer to Programmingor the applicable panel programming guide.

  7. Select Save.

Create a Virtual Keypad Template

To create Virtual Keypad templates, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to Dealer Admin (dealer.securecomwireless.com).

  2. In the left menu, go to Tools > Templates.

  3. Select the Virtual Keypad tab.

  4. In App Type, choose Arming or Standard.

  5. In Included Features, Add-on Features, and App User Defaults, select the options that you want to include in the default programming for Virtual Keypad.

  6. Select Save.

Edit a Template

To edit a template, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to Dealer Admin (dealer.securecomwireless.com).

  2. In the left menu, go to Tools > Templates.

  3. In the row of the template you want to edit, select the settings 2.png (Settings) icon.

  4. Edit any information in the template.

  5. Select Save.

Delete a Template

  1. Log in to Dealer Admin (dealer.securecomwireless.com).

  2. In the left menu, go to Tools > Templates.

  3. In the row of the template that you want to delete, select the trash.png (Delete) icon.
