Area Information
This programming option allows you to activate areas and assign functions to the different areas in the system. Ensure all non-24-hour zones are assigned to active area. You activate an area by assigning it a name. See Zone Information for further details.
Complete the following steps to program Area Information:
In Exit Delay, enter the number of seconds a user has to exit the area before it is armed. The default is 60.
Toggle Closing Check ON for the system to verify that all areas are armed after permanent or extended schedules expire.
Toggle Closing Code ON for a user code to be required to arm the system.
Toggle Any Bypass ON to allow zones to be bypassed during arming without entering a user code.
Toggle Area Schedules ON to allow each area to have its own set of schedules. If this option is left toggled OFF, all areas follow the schedule assigned to Area 1.
In Early Morning Ambush, enter the number of minutes allowed to pass before a second user code is required to be entered. If a second user code is not entered within the programmed time, an Ambush signal is sent to the monitoring center.
Add an Area
Select + Add Area to create an area.
Enter the Area Number.
Enter the Area Name.
The Account Number is automatically entered.
Toggle Automatic Arming ON for the area to use the opening and closing schedule when arming.
If Automatic Arming is toggled ON, in Bad Zones, select one of the following options:
Bypass (default)—All bad zones are bypassed.
Force Arm—All bad zones are force armed.
Refuse Arm—Automatic arming is refused and no arming takes place.
Toggle Automatic Disarming ON for the area to use the opening and closing schedule when disarming.
Note: This feature cannot be used for ANSI/SIA CP-01 installations.
In Armed Output Number, enter any outputs that turn on when the area is armed. The output turns off when the area is disarmed.
In Late Output Number, enter any outputs that turn on when the area has not been armed by the scheduled time. The outputs turn off when the area is armed or the buzzer is silenced.
In Late Arm Delay, enter the number of minutes before the are automatically arms if the system is still disarmed after the scheduled closing time. The Late Arm Delay can be superseded by the Rearm Delay setting of the profile assigned to the user who disarmed the area.
Toggle Bank Safe and Vault ON to ensure schedules and the system time cannot be changed while the system is armed.
Note: This option is only available for XR550 panels with network or encryption.
Toggle Common Area ON to enable this area as a common area. The area is armed when the last area in the system is armed, and the area is disarmed when the first area in the system is disarmed. You can have multiple common areas in each system.
Note: Do not assign the common area to any user code.
Toggle Arm First Area ON to enable this area to operate as an Arm First Area. This area is automatically armed when any non-arm first areas assigned to the same keypad are armed.
In Dual Authority, select one of the following options:
No (default)—Leave this option disabled
Arm—Require two user code entries in order to arm the area
Disarm—Require two user code entries in order to disarm the area
All—Require two user code entries to arm, disarm, and allow door access for the area.
Note: This option is only available for XR550 panels with network or encryption.
Toggle Opening/Closing Reports ON to send an opening/closing report to the receiver when the area is armed or disarmed.
In Burglary Bell Output, enter the output numbers that turn on when a Burglary zone goes into alarm. The outputs turn off when any area is disarmed and no other Burglary zones are in alarm.
Toggle Card Plus PIN ON to require users to present a credential and enter their 4 to 6-digit pin numbers before the desired action for the areas occur.
Add another area or select the
(More) icon, then select Send Area Information.
