Zone Information

Note: To program key fobs as Panic or Holdup zones, go to Key Fobs and enter the valid zone range from 500-599.

Zone Information allows you to define the operation of each protection zone used in the system. Complete the following steps to program Zone Information:

  1. Select + Add Zone to create a zone.

  2. Enter the Zone Number.

  3. Enter the Zone Name.

  4. Enter the Zone Location (optional). Enter a descriptive location for the zone, such as 2nd Floor East Wing. The zone location is only sent to the monitoring center to help dispatchers identify where an alarm is triggered and does not display on the keypad. You can enter up to 32 characters for the zone location name.

  5. In Zone Type, select one of the following options:

    • Night

    • Day

    • Exit

    • Fire

    • Panic

    • Holdup

    • Emergency

    • Supervisory

    • Auxiliary 1

    • Auxiliary 2

    • Fire Verify

    • Arming

    • Carbon Monoxide

    • Instant

    • Doorbell

  6. Assign the zone an Area.

  7. If applicable, in Chime Sound, select one of the following options:

    • None (default)

    • Descend

    • Ascend

    • Doorbell

  8. If applicable, select the Follow Area.

  9. If applicable, enter the Expander Serial Number.

  10. If applicable enter the V-Plex Serial Number.

  11. Toggle AlarmVision Zone ON if a zone is configured to use AlarmVision to trip when an object is detected using a camera.

  12. Complete one of the following options:

    • Program another zone.

    • Program Wireless options below.

    • Select the image-20260211-204344.png (More) icon, then select Send Zone Information.

Wireless

To program options for a wireless zone, complete the following steps:

  1. Toggle DMP Wireless ON to program the zone as a DMP wireless zone. Ensure the wireless House Code in System Options is programmed prior to adding wireless zones to the system.

  2. Toggle Competitor Wireless ON to program the zone as a wireless zone if you are using the 1100T Wireless Translator. Ensure the wireless House Code in System Options is programmed prior to adding wireless zones to the system.

  3. Enter the Serial Number for the DMP wireless device.

  4. If you are using an 1101, 1103, or 1106 Wireless Universal Transmitter, or an 1114 Wireless
    Four-Zone Expander, in Contact, choose one of the following options:

    • Internal (default)—Use the internal reed switch contacts

    • External—Connect an external device to the wireless transmitter terminal block.

  5. If you selected External for the Contact, toggle Contact Normally Open ON to use Normally Open (N/O) operation. Leave toggled OFF to use Normally Closed (N/C) operation.

  6. In Supervision Time, select the maximum duration the zone can fail to check in before going missing:

    • 0 (disabled)

    • 3 min

    • 60 min

    • 240 min (default)

  7. Toggle LED Operation ON to enable the LED during normal operation. The LED always operates if tampering is detected.

  8. Toggle Disarm Disable ON to disable Zone Tripped messages from the zone when the system is disarmed.

Note: 1103 Wireless Universal Transmitters still report Zone Trips if off-normal for 20 seconds.

  1. In PIR Pulse Count, enter 2 or 4 as the number of infrared pulses that the 1122, 1126, 0r 1127 PIR should sense before sending a short message to the 1100XH Series Receiver. The default is 4.

  2. In PIR Sensitivity, select one of the following sensitivity settings for the 1122, 1126, or 1127 PIRs:

    • Low—PIR operates at 75% sensitivity for installations in harsh environments.

    • High—PIR operates at maximum sensitivity.

  3. In PIR Pet Immunity, select On to enable pet immunity for animals up to 55 pounds. The default is Off.

  4. Complete one of the following options:

    • Program another zone.

    • Program Advanced options below.

    • Select the image-20260211-204344.png (More) icon, then select Send Zone Information.

Advanced

  1. Select Advanced to program advanced options.

  2. Toggle Swinger Bypass toggled ON to allow the zone to be swinger bypassed according to the programmed Swinger Bypass Trips and Reset Swinger Bypass.

  3. Toggle Zone Retard Delay ON to allow the Zone Retard Delay programmed in System Options to apply for the zone. The Zone Retard Delay only functions in short condition.

  4. In Presignal Keypads, enter all the keypad addresses you want to signal a Zone Short during the Zone Retard Delay.

  5. In Prewarn Keypads, enter all the keypad addresses you want to display ENTER CODE at the keypad at the start of the Entry Delay when the zone trips.

  6. Toggle Fast Response ON to reduce the zone response time to 167 ms. Leave this option toggled OFF to keep the normal zone response time of 500 ms.

  7. Toggle Cross Zone ON to enable cross-zoning for the zone. Cross-zoning requires one or more armed zones to fault within a programmed time before an alarm report is sent to the receiver.

  8. In Entry Delay, select the entry time for the zone. Entry times 1-4 are programmed in System Options.

  9. Toggle Priority Zone ON to require the zone to be in a normal condition before the assigned area can be armed.

  10. This option is only available for Night, Exit, and Instant zones. Toggle Traffic Count ON to allow the panel to report to the receiver the number of zone trips that occur while disarmed.

  11. This option is only available for Fire zones. Toggle Fire Panel Slave Input ON to allow Fire zones to automatically send a zone restore message and clear from the Status List at the keypad upon restoral.

  12. This option is only available for Arming zones. In Arm Areas, select which areas will arm when the Arming zone is activated.

  13. This option is only available for 24-hour zone types. In Report with Account Number, select an area number to send the account number of the programmed area with messages to the receiver.

  14. Toggle Zone Real-Time Status ON to allow real-time status reports to be sent to the receiver using PC Log reporting.

  15. Toggle Lockdown ON to allow a zone trip to initiate a lockdown.

  16. Complete one of the following options:

    • Program another zone.

    • Program Actions below.

    • Select the image-20260211-204344.png (More) icon, then select Send Zone Information.

Actions

  1. Select Actions to program additional actions.

  2. In Disarmed Open Message, select one of the following panel actions to enable when the zone is opened while the area is disarmed:

    • None (default)

    • Alarm

    • Trouble

    • Local

    • Cancel Ambush

    • Door Propped Open

    • Sensor Reset

  3. In Disarmed Open Output, enter the output number that turns on with the programmed Disarmed Open Output Action when the zone is in an open condition while the area is disarmed. The default is 0.

  4. In Disarmed Open Output Action, select one of the following output actions to assign to the Disarmed Open Output:

    • None

    • Steady (default)

    • Pulse

    • Momentary

    • Follow

  5. In Disarmed Short Message, select one of the following panel actions to enable when the zone is in a short condition while the area is disarmed:

    • None (default)

    • Alarm

    • Trouble

    • Local

    • Cancel Ambush

    • Door Propped Open

    • Sensor Reset

  6. In Disarmed Short Output, enter the output number that turns on with the programmed Disarmed Short Message Action when the zone is in a short condition while the area is disarmed. The default is 0.

  7. In Disarmed Short Output Action, select one of the following output actions to assign to the Disarmed Short Output:

    • None

    • Steady (default)

    • Pulse

    • Momentary

    • Follow

  8. In Armed Open Message, select one of the following panel actions to enable when the zone is in an open condition while the area is armed:

    • None

    • Alarm (default)

    • Trouble

    • Local

    • Cancel Ambush

    • Door Propped Open

    • Sensor Reset

  9. In Armed Open Output, enter the output number that turns on with the programmed Armed Open Message Action when the zone is in an open condition while the area is armed. The default is 0.

  10. In Armed Open Output Action, select one of the following output actions to assign to the Armed Open Output:

    • None

    • Steady (default)

    • Pulse

    • Momentary

    • Follow

  11. In Armed Short Message, select one of the following panel actions to enable when the zone is in a short condition while the area is armed:

    • None

    • Alarm (default)

    • Trouble

    • Local

    • Cancel Ambush

    • Door Propped Open

    • Sensor Reset

  12. In Armed Short Output, enter the output number that turns on with the programmed Armed Short Output Action when the zone is in a short condition while the area is armed. The default is 0.

  13. In Armed Short Output Action, select one of the following output actions to assign to the Armed Short Output:

    • None

    • Steady (default)

    • Pulse

    • Momentary

    • Follow

  14. In Arming Style, select one of the following styles for the arming/disarming operation:

    • Toggle (default)

    • Arm

    • Disarm

    • Step

    • Maintain

  15. Complete one of the following options:

    • Program another zone.

    • Select the image-20260211-204344.png (More) icon, then select Send Zone Information.
